The tried and tested way of making ads work, scare them and services will be hired, entice them and products will fly off the shelf. The ad companies now should try new advertising techniques!
People use the same techniques & thought processes instead of new advertising techniques to create advertising concepts, why because it works, yes! No?
We need to grab some attention as competition in services and products keeps on increasing, people want more for less and we end up pleasing them, forgetting why we are doing business in the first place.
Competition is good but we need to innovate and add value as per the needs of the customers. That means to add or remove as per relevance, yes remove is something very few notice and improve on.
Do my customers still need this ??? business need to focus on change in totality.
Similarly, in new advertising techniques, the strategy should incorporate medias that are relevant, notice if we need to change or move on from certain medias, the biggest challenge that we have in this is the lack of historical data that will create better analysis and improve decision making.
Concepts need to be tested, tried and agencies or brands should not be afraid to try.
Advertising is the insurance policy to ensure market share, Branding is the policy to ensure mind share but what happens when the policy is not covering all the needs.
